Malmö. It starts here. Malmö is more than a city. Malmö is meetings, food and laughter. A place where people create experiences for others to enjoy – sports, theatre, art and music.

Malmö is Sweden’s 3rd largest city has just the right size for a chilled and friendly atmosphere while being large enough to boast all the cultural life and attractions of a big city. Beyond that, Copenhagen is just half an hour away across the Öresund Bridge.

Eco-friendly stores and cafés abound in the idyllic and lively city centre, a beautiful mix of cobbled squares, vast pedestrian streets, pretty canals, and leafy parks. The music and art scenes are thriving, and Malmö also prides itself on its multi-cultural ambiance – as well as some of Sweden’s very best restaurants.

It is said that our city has more restaurants per head than anywhere else in Sweden. Perhaps that’s because half the population is younger than 35. Young restaurant and bistro owners around Möllevångstorget and Davidshallstorg experiment with influences from France, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Syria and Iran.

The main city attractions are just 20 minutes away by bicycle. Peddle power takes you easily from the suburb of Rosengård to the beach, from city center to countryside. Stroll down the boulevards with a friend or go for a run along the beach. Explore the waterfront on foot or skateboard down a ramp. Everything’s within reach in Sweden’s smallest big city. Malmö is the industrial city that became an academic centre that became a city to savour. A place where people come to make their dreams come true. A city where you will experience something new.
